What are the benefits of reading text aloud?

✅ We become more confident.

✅ We can practise pronunciation.

✅ We learn new words.

✅ We improve our speaking skills.

✅ We can imitate native English speakers.

🇬🇧 My language advice for today:

Listen to a book being read aloud by a native speaker. For example, the book called Harry Potter.
📖 Have the same book open on your desk.
Meaning: open your own copy of the Harry Potter book and turn to the same page.

📖👀 ➕ 🎧 Read the text and listen to the audio at the same time.
⏸️ 🔉👂 😃 💬 Pause the audio and repeat what you hear.

🎶 Imitate the pronunciation, the tone,
the sound of the words and the speed.
♻️ Repeat the sentences aloud again and again
until you feel confident.
I know you'll do great! 💪

Today we read the first page of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J. K. Rowling.
This is so that we can practise pronunciation together.
It is one of my favourite books.

Tips for English fluency: part 1

🎯 ❌ Forget about accuracy
(for the present moment).

You must accept that you will make mistakes.
When you practise English, focus on verbalizing the words.
Do not worry about being precise.
Have fun with this new language.
Repeat and repeat again the sentences out loud.
Listen to the sounds and imitate the pronunciation of your teacher.
Become familiar with it, like eating new food.
Give yourself time to get used to it.
Make the connections in your mind first.
Then later, you can correct mistakes.

🕰️ Stay consistent, stay disciplined.

To quote Winston Churchill:
‘Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential.’
This is so true.
You do have the potential to be fluent, to speak like a native speaker of English 🇬🇧
You can do it! 💪
Keep going, every single day.
Practise little and often.
Practise when you are motivated.
Practise when you are tired.
Practise when you are bored.
Practise when you don’t feel like practising.
You will thank yourself later for the discipline.
This will bring success.
This will make you a confident English speaker.

Choose a topic that you love ❤️ and read about it in the language that you wish to improve.

For example,
"I love Harry Potter." ⚡

My advice:
🎧 Listen to the audiobook in English.

📖 Read the text at the same time.

This way you can improve your:

✅ vocabulary

✅ pronunciation

✅ listening skills

P.S. Keep the dictionary nearby 📚
